What is a giclee?
A giclee is a high quality fine art
reproduction from a digital image that far exceeds the quality of the
traditional offset lithograph. Typically, an offset lithograph is
produced with a four-color printing process; a giclee uses a ten-color
process, printing the image on high quality paper. In addition, the
inks used to produce a giclee are archival quailty and fade resistant
(unless exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of
time).
All
of Sterling's giclees are produced on high quality cotton fibre paper
using the finest ink and a state-of-the-art giclee printer. This,
combined with very limited editions of each giclee, make Sterling's
giclees collectable works of art which are also affordable.
Each
giclee is hand signed and numbered, and accompanied by a hand signed
and titled Certificate of Authenticity. Once the designated printing
number has been reached the image is retired.
Art with a Purpose
Sterling
and Diane take great pride in announcing that they are offering limited
editions giclees to raise money for selected charities and
organizations. Giclees which have been designated for fundraising are
highlighted below. This is an opportunity to purchase a collectable,
limited edition giclee while helping those in need. Sterling and Diane
will donate 50% of the profits from each sale to the organization
indicated.
